Why SolidStart Atelier exists
We believe painting becomes teachable when concepts are separated, practiced, and recombined. Our courses distill craft into modules—color, composition, surfaces, mediums, and critique—so artists can study one variable at a time and assemble a path that fits their goals.
Story
Founded by studio instructors tired of “one-size” classes, we built a stackable curriculum that maps directly to common studio problems: muddy color, flat compositions, and unclear critique.
Mission
Turn observation into action. Every module ends with a framework that you can apply to any subject—from quick studies to large works.
Values
- Clarity over spectacle
- Critique as a tool, not a verdict
- Safety and sustainability in materials
